BRENDA VARDA is a writer, composer, and performer who works primarily on original production, creating new music, scripts, and devised performances. With a MFA in Writing for Performance (UCR) and an MA in Psychology (Creative Studies, Antioch), she loves facilitating collaborative works that bring new language to the stage. Theatre companies include Unknown Theatre, Chromolume Theatre, Sacred Fools, Overtone Industries, The Met, and Son of Semele and favorite original works include “Fables du Theatre”, “NIne Dresses”, “Reactor: simple, clean, efficient”, “Things that Fall from the Sky” and “Alice Through the Worm Hole”. The founder of Singers’ Workout and Wordspace, she also coaches writers and singers… and in ancient times, she was a full-time actress and musician – and still crosses that line on occasion.
