Son of Semele Ensemble has garnered four NAACP Theatre Award nominations for it's production of The Tower, including Barbara Kallir, best director; Max Pierson, best lighting; and Sharyn Gabriel, best Choreography; and the cast for best ensemble.

The NAACP Theatre Awards, which are given for excellence in theatre featuring African American themes and performers, are a coveted honor, and the awards ceremony this year will showcase names such as Clarence Williams III, George C.
