Tonight I saw a re-mounting of "IRL (In Real Life)" -- which was presented by Lucid by Proxy.
Though it closed tonight, I thought I would throw up a blog because I found it to be a unique blend of multi-media and living-room theater. Usually, with multi-media you find theater to be abstract or experimental. This was interesting because it was a multi-media play that had a totally naturalistic living-room base.
The play surrounded a series of on-line-game-playing geeks who decide to meet "in real life". The on-line story of their characters which was a highly stylized mix where the projected video was voiced by their on-stage acting, paralleled thier "real life" journey.
It was a unique idea that worked well in Lucid by Proxy's intimate space in Silver Lake.

That show sounds very interesting - I wish I had a chance to check it out. Right up my ally, obviously, and also related to a show the Rogues are kicking around. I've never heard of this company before, but now I'm curious.
